Tai’an boats quite developed scientific research, education and culture, and is known as an important center in Shandong, home to Shandong Agricultural University, Shandong University of Science and Technology (Tai’an Campus), Shandong First Medical University (Tai’an Campus), Tai’shan University and the like—15 institutes of higher learning, and 20 research institutes, that have enrolled more than 170,000 college students. Its secondary vocational education is also developed, and a great many high-caliber talents at various levels are coming out annually to sustain our development.

The city boasts strong scientific research competence and innovation capability. We are vigorously advancing local school and enterprise collaboration, and promoting industry, school and research institute integration. The advanced national printing & dyeing technological innovation center, the first national manufacturing and innovation center in Shandong jointly established by Companion Group and Donghua University, is located in Tai’an. The government has also jointly set up Taishan Composite Material Industry Technology Research Institute with Shandong University of Science and Technology.
